Our company About us

We have been a manufacturer and supplier of O-rings and specialty gaskets for over 60 years. In addition to our own factories in Germany and Northern Italy, we also have a branch in Switzerland.

Today, our entrepreneurial company is managed by the third generation. A solid continuity is thus ensured.

The STARTING HISTORY OF THE COMPANY

1963

Company formation

Alwin Höfert founds Alwin Höfert KG in the Bramfeld district of Hamburg. The family living room functions as an office and the shed of the family house is converted into a warehouse. From day one his two sons, Klaus and Gerd, are together with their father.
1968

Expansion

The company grows and moves to the outskirts of Hamburg, to Ammersbek. The company now consists of a production, a warehouse and an administration. The work to be done quickly becomes too extensive for the family and the college grows rapidly.
1981

Branch office in Switzerland

After his soccer career with FC St. Pauli, Alwin's youngest son, Rolf Höfert, joins the family business and establishes a branch in Switzerland.
1983

Subsidiary in Italy

A subsidiary, Höfert Italia, is founded in Viadanica, Italy. Höfert had long maintained good business relations with northern Italy and decided to open its own factory.
2002

New manufacturing and logistics centre

The company moves into a new building. Production, the warehouse and administration are now all under one roof. Following on from dph, the other partner company GROMEX also moves into the "House of Seals" in 2009.
2013

50 Years of Alwin Höfert KG

Höfert celebrates its 50th anniversary.
2022

Generation change

At the beginning of the new year, Klaus Höfert steps down after 55 years as managing director and hands over the company to his son Dirk, who has been managing partner since 1999. Our "senior" remains loyal to the company in an advisory capacity. At the same time, the company celebrates its anniversary and looks back on 60 successful years.
